Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for an Echo Lab assignment, requiring AHA BLS certification and experience with stress and dobutamine echocardiograms.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in an Echo Lab focused on 2D, color Doppler, and Doppler studies of the heart
- Patient population includes those undergoing both standard and stress echocardiograms
- Performs stress and dobutamine echocardiograms
- Monday to Friday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Responsibilities include independent planning and performance of echocardiographic procedures, assisting with scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance
- Involvement in teaching and providing guidance to Cardiac fellows on the unit
- Parking is not validated; public transportation and parking lots are available for a fee
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital for standard rate eligibility, with local rate 5% lower
- Scrub attire required as per department standards

- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Professional license required if applicable; MA conditional licenses not accepted
- High level of knowledge in reading and interpreting cardiac sonography test results
- Proof of relevant certification and/or licensure required before consideration
- Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
