POSITION: INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: Wood-Ridge, NJ
Employment Type: Onsite | Full-Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Please note that you MUST have a book of business that you can bring in to this role within the food & beverage, distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or a similar industries to be considered for this position.
Our client is seeking an Inside Sales Representative & Customer Service Associate to join their expanding team. This newly created position offers an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, managing accounts, and contributing to business growth.
The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, and comfortable engaging with customers by phone and email. Experience within the food & beverage, distribution, manufacturing, or related industries is highly preferred.
Please note that this position requires employees to work onsite FULL-TIME, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. There is no WFH option with this position.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support
- Process customer orders accurately from entry through fulfillment and delivery
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through ongoing communication and follow-up
- Support inside sales initiatives by identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Resolve customer inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information within company systems
- Assist with general sales support and administrative functions
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accounts are aligned and serviced effectively
Requirements:
- Current book of business within the food & beverage, distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or a similar industry required
- 3–5 years of customer service, account management, or inside sales experience
- Demonstrated experience in food & beverage, distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or a similar industry required
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Comfortable making outbound calls and proactively engaging with customers
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, order management systems, and Microsoft Office
