Job Details
• Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care using nursing process and resources within institutional philosophy.
• Performs duties specific to unit scope of service.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops plan of care based on patient and family needs.
• Implements and modifies plan of care based on continuous evaluation.
• Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting/correcting hazards.
• Communicates effectively to resolve issues and provide feedback for professional development.
• Identifies own learning needs and fulfills departmental competencies.
• Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• Shares information about disease processes and teaches nursing techniques to patients and families.
• Participates in rehab rounds and team meetings.
• Provides ongoing patient education and resources.
• Possesses specialized knowledge and skills for care of patients with physical disability and chronic illness.
• Fulfills all rehab departmental competencies.

Job Requirements
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
• Illinois state RN License in good standing required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.

Schedule Information
• Night shift.
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 12 hours per day.
• 36 hours per week.

Unit Specific Information
• Unit: Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center.
• Focus on rehabilitation nursing and care for patients with physical disabilities and chronic illness.
