Position: Intake and Staffing Coordinator
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake/staffing Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing exceptional service to patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in various electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The Intake Coordinator will be the first point of contact for patients, making it essential to have excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake processes, including scheduling appointments and collecting necessary information.
- Conduct insurance verification and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medical history, insurance details, and appointment confirmations.
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide clerical support as needed, including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline patient care processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Bilingual candidates are a bonus.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Experience in insurance verification and knowledge of Medicare processes is a plus.
- Must have professional and customer-service-driven phone and communication skills.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week (In-person)
