Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Sacramento, California.

Job Description & Requirements

• Managed comprehensive LDRP care from admission through postpartum discharge using a couplet care model
• Circulated for cesarean sections in on-unit OR suites; assisted with recovery and post-op maternal-newborn care
• Independently triaged patients presenting with preterm labor, hypertension, bleeding, and other obstetric complications
• Initiated and titrated labor-inducing medications and magnesium sulfate therapy per hospital protocols
• Interpreted external fetal monitoring (GE Corometrics/Fetalink) and maternal EKGs in PACU as part of comprehensive labor assessment
• Collaborated with OB hospitalist, anesthesia, neonatologist (on-call), and surgical teams to ensure safe and timely deliveries
• Provided lactation support, newborn assessments, discharge education, and psychosocial support to new mothers
• Floated to Mother/Baby and other regional CommonSpirit facilities as needed
• Participated in bedside shift reports and maintained accurate documentation in Cerner
• Acted in Baby Catcher (NRP RN) role when assigned, assisting with neonatal stabilization during delivery
