This role is perfect for a marketing generalist who enjoys wearing many hats. From running social media pages and Meta ads to planning events and digging into local market research, youll be the go-to person keeping our marketing activities in Morocco running smoothly. Its a role for someone proactive and versatile who can dive in without much hand-holding, stay aligned with our brand values, and bring fresh ideas to the table. Youll be working fully onsite in Casablanca and reporting directly to the Marketing Manager in the head office and collaborating with other marketing team members in other regions.
Main activities and responsibilities
Social Media & Advertising: Manage and grow Study Nows Morocco social media presence, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Run Meta & TikTok ad campaigns tailored to the Moroccan market and report on performance metrics.
Event Planning & Execution: Plan, coordinate, and deliver local events such as student fairs, expos, and community meet-ups. Ensure events align with brand goals and generate measurable leads.
Market & Competitor Research: Conduct ongoing market research into trends, competitor activity, and student preferences in Morocco to inform campaign strategies.
Campaign Management: Plan, launch, and optimize multi-channel campaigns to increase awareness and applications for our partner universities.
Local Liaison: Act as the primary marketing contact for the Morocco office, maintaining effective communication between the local team and the global marketing department.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide monthly reports on marketing performance, lead generation, and ROI to management.
Additional Key Requirements:
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to deliver effective marketing outcomes.
International and Cross-Cultural Experience:
- Understanding of Moroccan student recruitment trends and cultural nuances.
- Ability to adapt global campaigns to the local market context.
Data-Driven and Analytical Approach:
- Proficiency in tracking and interpreting campaign analytics.
- Ability to make data-informed decisions to improve future campaigns.
Technology and Marketing Systems:
- Proficiency in social media ad managers and analytics tools.
- Experience using CRM tools or lead management systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with essential tools like Meta business suite, Elastic ESP, Monday.com, Zapier, Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps, Microsoft 365, etc.
Ethical Standards and Confidentiality:
- High level of professionalism in handling sensitive student information.
- Commitment to brand integrity and data protection.
Communication and Influencing Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (compulsory) and Moroccan Arabic (or French).
- Ability to craft compelling content, build relationships, and represent the brand confidently in public forums.
Person Specification
Minimum of 34 years of experience in a marketing executive role.
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, social media management, and event coordination.
Strong understanding of higher education marketing (advantageous).
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Fluency in English and Moroccan Arabic (or French); additional languages are a plus.
Special requirements
Able to undertake duties at different premises. Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours to effectively support the companys operations and events.
Travel may be required in order to attend conferences, events, new projects and effectively represent the Company in key networks.
