Wilkes University invites applicants for an open High School Trigonometry & Pre-Calculus/Calculus teaching position in the Upward Bound Program. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program, which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the program by means of teaching/tutoring the desired subject to a small group of high school level students in structured class periods. This class is designed to supplement their knowledge from their current high school classes. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

Please note that this is a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Dates run from September 25th through December 11th. Classes are held only on Thursday nights from 6:30 PM – 8:20 PM. The candidate will be responsible for two (2), fifty (50) minute, period classes.
