Job Title: Saw Operator

Department: CNC / Machine Department

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY:

A working position which is responsible for maintaining production in the saw department meeting production rates set forth within the company.

AUTHORITY: This individual has authority over no other employee but may ask others within their department to help them with tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include the following but is not limited to:

 Record all necessary data pertaining to assigned job instructions.

 Work under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

 Ability to refill saw with proper coolant when needed.

 Ability to enter, follow, and modify saw.

 Ability to keep track of inventory on saw blades and inform supervisor when more blades need ordered in a timely manner.

 Ability to cut bar stock end before starting new bars.

 Ability to operate crane safely and properly.

 Ability to rework and deburr as instructed by supervisor or lead personnel.

 Arriving at work on time for every scheduled shift.

 Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

**Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 Minimum 0-12 months experience in the field of Manufacturing and/or production or equivalent experience.

 Minimum 0-12 months experience in the field of Manual Machining.

 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as necessary to properly fill out production reports and to request additional support as needed.

 Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 Able to use measuring tools to determine that Quality Assurance specifications are met.

**If candidates do not meet all of the above requirements, at its discretion, ACC can provide additional training in the appropriate areas for job qualification.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: The employee will be expected to meet efficiency ratings of 80% or better.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus. WORK

ENVIRONMENT: Production paced operations to support customer (internal and external) demands. Decision making ability to support production as needed.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older.
