Robert Half is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Middlesex County, NJ area. As an Accounts Payable clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including accounts payable functions, invoice processing, reconciliation, and more! Responsibilities:
• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper documentation is attached.
• Process invoices efficiently using accounting software.
• Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
• Assist with data entry tasks, ensuring all financial information is accurately recorded.
• Manage spreadsheet tasks and reconcile accounts using Microsoft Excel.
• Handle coding of invoices and ensure proper categorization within the accounting system.
• Conduct check runs and monitor payment schedules to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in accounts payable processes.
• Provide support for account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Proficiency in using accounting software
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet management and data analysis.
• Ability to process invoices and manage documentation with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and account reconciliation practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Business casual attire required for on-site work.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
