Job DescriptionPart-Time Forklift Operator (Evening Shift) – 77032 Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Midnight), and sometimes later as needed based on business demands.Location: North Houston – 77032 Salary: $17.00 – 19.00 an hour Position SummaryThe Part-Time Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, loading, and unloading of freight within a warehouse environment. This role supports daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution operations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate various types of powered industrial equipment, including:
- Stand-Up Forklift
- Sit-Down Forklift
- Reach Truck
- Load and unload trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Accurately stage, stack, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying freight and documentation.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and storage practices.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse and forklift operating experience required.
- Proficiency operating stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and reach trucks.
- Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours when business needs require.
