We are looking for a highly organized Billing Specialist to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will oversee billing operations and ensure accurate invoicing for clients while maintaining compliance with established guidelines. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our accounting processes and interact with a diverse client base.


Responsibilities:

• Manage the full-cycle billing process for assigned clients on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Participate in client meetings to address billing concerns and provide updates.

• Optimize existing billing workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Analyze cost sheets, shipping charges, and other relevant data to prepare detailed invoices.

• Maintain organized billing backups and documentation for reference and auditing purposes.

• Calculate billing percentages and compile figures for General Ledger entries.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cost and billing data to ensure accurate reporting.

• Prepare advances, credits, and rebills as required.

• Collaborate with account managers to finalize invoices and adhere to tax guidelines.

• Handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or billing-related environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate to advanced functions.

• Strong knowledge of billing and invoicing processes, with familiarity in accounting principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data.
