Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Physician Services
Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047
Job Type: Contract | Local
Pay Rate: $18 – $21 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours (8.5-hour shift with 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and reliable Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support within a busy outpatient setting, including Urology and other specialty services. The ideal candidate will support patient care delivery while ensuring efficient office operations and exceptional patient service.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties

Prepare examination and treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments
-
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers as directed
-
Record and document vital signs accurately
-
Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus testing (after competency validation)
-
Conduct UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other laboratory testing (after competency validation)

Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment
Administrative & Clerical Duties

Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
-
Utilize EMR systems for data entry and patient management
-
Assist with billing and collections processes as needed

Scan, file, and manage medical records
Patient Care & Compliance

Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations

Provide age-appropriate and culturally competent care
-
Maintain strict patient confidentiality
-
Adhere to organizational policies, competencies, and professional standards
Required Qualifications
Education:

High School Diploma or GED
Certifications:
-
AHA BLS Certification (Required)
-
One of the following certifications:
-
CMA (NHA)
-
CMA (NCCT)
-
CMA (AAMA)
-
RMA (AMT)
-
RMA (NAHP)
-
AMCA
-
NCMA
-
Required Skills & Experience
-
Experience performing laboratory procedures and EKGs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Proficiency in EMR systems and data entry
