Tolunay-Wong Engineers (TWE) is seeking applicants for a Field and Laboratory Geotechnical Technician position in our Houston, Texas office. The position supports geotechnical services. Please note this is a labor-intensive job. We provide all necessary training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare clear and legible boring records including stratifying and classifying soils
- Assist work team with various field and laboratory activities
- Complete required daily reports, and vehicle and equipment inspections
- Attend all safety meetings and comply with company and client safety standards and programs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and job site areas
- Support and adhere to company quality policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to travel and possess a dependable pick-up truck or equivalent
- Able to pass an initial, random, and annual hair follicle drug test
- Hold a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record
- Able to physically implement work duties assigned in various weather elements
- Willing to work diligently and take ownership over work
- Work well in team environment
