Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support students in an educational setting in Anaheim, CA during the 20262027 academic year. This role focuses on helping students develop the functional skills necessary for success within the school environment, working closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional abilities related to school participation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in line with students IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in both individual and group environments
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and parents to promote student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing progress reviews
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current California Occupational Therapy License or eligibility to obtain it prior to start date
- Valid National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) credential
- Preferred experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes, special education services, and school-based therapy models
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
- Required FBI/DOJ background clearance according to school district regulations
