An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to contribute expertise in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract role focuses on day shifts with a 4x10-hour schedule, providing a balanced work-life routine within a supportive surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room with a broad surgical caseload.
- Utilize Epic documentation for accurate and timely patient record-keeping.
- Collaborate with surgical teams across a range of complex procedures including bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, neuro, orthopedic, robotic, and general surgery.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, aseptic technique, and infection control.
- Provide patient advocacy through preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure.
- Minimum of one year of OR nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Competency in diverse surgical specialties such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, laparoscopic-assisted surgeries, thoracotomy, tonsillectomy, endoscopic procedures, Whipple, hysterectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, and robotic surgeries.
- Comfortable working within a 50-mile travel radius.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
