An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to contribute expertise in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract role focuses on day shifts with a 4x10-hour schedule, providing a balanced work-life routine within a supportive surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room with a broad surgical caseload.
  • Utilize Epic documentation for accurate and timely patient record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams across a range of complex procedures including bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, neuro, orthopedic, robotic, and general surgery.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, aseptic technique, and infection control.
  • Provide patient advocacy through preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of OR nursing experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Competency in diverse surgical specialties such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, laparoscopic-assisted surgeries, thoracotomy, tonsillectomy, endoscopic procedures, Whipple, hysterectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, and robotic surgeries.
  • Comfortable working within a 50-mile travel radius.
  • First-time travelers are welcome.
