WAGE: $30/hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Housing Eligibility Project Manager supports Catholic Charities’ homelessness initiatives within Housing Operations by assisting with the coordination, management, and oversight of key projects. This position provides support to the Director of Leasing through a wide range of responsibilities related to housing, compliance, project execution, and operational workflow.
The role assists with training and mentoring housing intake staff, provides coverage for vacant positions as needed, coordinates reports and documentation, and ensures the confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness of information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with managing strategic projects by defining project scope, creating timelines, gathering information, and analyzing data.
- Develop and maintain a current working knowledge of HUD, Tax Credit, and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Perform resident intake meetings, move-ins, interim certifications, and annual recertifications as needed.
- Assist the Director of Leasing with compliance activities and tenant file audits.
- Coordinate with residents to obtain necessary paperwork, verifications, and corrections.
- Recommend processes and procedures to improve efficiency and support Leasing team goals.
- Develop operational productivity tools, performance metrics, and reporting structures.
- Ensure strong communication and coordination between Housing Stability and Shared Services to improve workflow.
- Assist managers with Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) functions and compile required reports.
- Assist managers with compliance activities and tenant file audits.
- Conduct unit inspections as required by program funders.
- Review and ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of data and reporting for compliance, accountability, and client outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of project management experience; or 5 years of similar experience in lieu of a degree.
- Affordable housing and/or Tax Credit compliance experience required.
- Knowledge of housing management, operations, and supportive services.
- Experience in compliance and risk management within a housing environment.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse and/or low-income populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental health challenges.
