Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves managing materials, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with OSHA safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate Standup Raymond forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Handle materials safely during shipping and receiving processes
- Assist with heavy lifting and stacking to ensure proper storage of inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Support warehouse management in implementing safety procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling best practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly throughout the shift
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus
- OSHA certification or knowledge of OSHA safety standards is preferred
- Valid certification for forklift operation is required
- Excellent attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
