Position Summary

Fusion is seeking a Senior Staff Support and Presidential Support Specialist to provide executive-facing readiness, training, roster, and operational support for a high-visibility federal mission. This role helps ensure senior officials and interagency staffs are trained, coordinated, and postured to execute during routine, special event, and contingency scenarios.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct or support briefings, indoctrination sessions, refresher training, and site visits for senior officials, senior staff, and interagency personnel, including coordination of schedules and materials.
  • Develop and maintain training agendas, briefing materials, administrative packages, and event support products for recurring and ad hoc training events, including updates to course materials and multi-agency deliverables.
  • Formulate exercise objectives, scenarios, injects, participant manifests, logistics actions, and briefing materials supporting program exercises, and contribute to after-action inputs capturing observations and recommended improvements.
  • Maintain rosters, trackers, contact databases, briefing status records, and readiness information for supported personnel.
  • Coordinate facility access submissions and updates, notification procedures, transportation support, deployment support, and other operational readiness requirements, including updates to automated notification systems.
  • Provide recommendations on staffing, notification, deployment, logistics, and operational procedures affecting supported personnel during contingency scenarios.
  • Support development and maintenance of manuals, concepts of operation, SOPs, and program documentation.
  • May perform additional mission-aligned duties as required to support program objectives.

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelors degree preferred in public administration, national security, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in executive support, national security, contingency planning, senior leader briefing support, or interagency coordination.
  • Experience supporting senior government or military personnel in a professional, high-discretion environment.
  • Strong planning, briefing, roster management, and coordination skills.
  • Experience working with classified records, controlled contact information, and sensitive operational support processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Excellent writing, formatting, and document control skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting continuity-related executive programs, senior leader site visits, or executive-level exercises.
  • Background in notification procedures, deployment support, or emergency roster management.


Security Clearance Requirements

  • Candidates must have an active TS to be considered.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain SCI access and SAP eligibility/indoctrination as required for assigned duties.


Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work is primarily performed onsite in secure government facilities in the National Capital Region.
  • Work schedules may include coverage between 0500 and 2000 Monday through Friday, with evening, weekend, and holiday support as mission requirements dictate.
  • Short notice travel within and outside the continental United States may be required based on operational needs.
  • Employees must comply with installation access, badging, operational security, and classified material handling requirements at all times.
  • Role requires poise, discretion, and responsiveness while supporting senior personnel and time-sensitive coordination.
  • This position supports a high-visibility federal mission and is expected to remain fully compliant with customer security, access, and performance requirements.
  • Applicants should be prepared to provide evidence of active clearance status and relevant experience supporting government or defense organizations.
