Job Title: Hose Fitter / Hose Maker – Hydraulic Hoses
Location: SE Portland
Pay: $25 – $28 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Hose Fitter / Hose Maker to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and testing hydraulic hose assemblies to meet specific customer and industry requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hydraulic components and be comfortable in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble custom hydraulic hose assemblies using crimpers, saws, and hand tools.
- Accurately read and interpret work orders, part numbers, and technical specifications.
- Cut hoses to precise lengths and install fittings using proper procedures and torque specs.
- Conduct pressure testing of hose assemblies to ensure compliance and performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all shop safety protocols.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality assurance.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse and customer service teams to meet customer deadlines.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in hose fabrication, assembly, or a similar mechanical production role.
- Familiarity with hydraulic hoses, fittings, and crimping equipment.
- Ability to read technical instructions, follow diagrams, and use measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the hydraulic hose or fluid power industry.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and fittings.
