Hiring a Sewing Technician to start ASAP!
Job Description
This is a temporary assignment with the possibility of extension, offering an opportunity to learn and assist in areas such as material handling or CNC machining. The role involves sitting at a table and using a sewing machine to create various heat-resistant products, including mesh bags, filters, and materials for flex troughs, blankets, and pads.
Responsibilities
- Read drawings or work instructions and follow standard operating procedures.
- Sew and assemble parts while conducting quality inspections.
- Place spools of thread on machine spindles and thread through guides and needle eyes.
- Use a pedal or knee lever to start, stop, and control the sewing machine speed.
- Move and stack materials around the shop.
Essential Skills
- Experience in production, assembly, packaging, inspection, and manufacturing.
- Proficiency in sewing and operating sewing machines.
- Attention to detail and fine motor skills.
- Ability to grasp, sit, and/or stand for prolonged periods.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to heat, dust, and outdoor conditions through open doors. Personal Protective Equipment may be required. The role involves working with fiberglass, which can be itchy and may cause irritation.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $19.00/hr.
