Job DescriptionAdelphi is seeking Teachers of the Deaf to support students with hearing impairments in schools in Monmouth County, NJ. The ideal candidates will provide direct instruction and consultation to facilitate academic access and communication development.

Requirements:
• NJ Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing Certification
• Experience working with students using hearing aids or cochlear implants
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct instruction tailored to students with hearing loss.
• Support general education teachers with accommodations and modifications.
• Collaborate with audiologists, SLPs, and AV therapists.
• Participate in CST and IEP meetings to develop and monitor goals.
• Offer training to staff and families on deaf education strategies.
• Assist with technology and amplification device use in school settings.
• Advocate for students' access to communication and academic materials.
• Maintain progress records and service documentation.
• Deliver instruction across multiple grade levels and settings as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.
