Salary: $18.50/hr
Express Employment Professionals are currently seeking Warehouse Associates for a local distribution company in Tonawanda, NY.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Starting Pay: $18.50 per hour
Job Overview: Works to assure safe and accurate warehouse operations in shipping, receiving, inventory counting and material handling.
Responsibilities
- Receive shipments, and verify correct quantities to shipping documents
- Accurately record shipment information in the company system
- Report shipment discrepancies and issues to the Customer Service Manager
- Accurately fill orders using shelf inventory and safely package materials for shipping
- Utilize third-party logistics software to generate shipments
- Appropriately store materials in the correct warehouse locations
- Perform inventory counts, identify, and record discrepancies
- Work with internal departments to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in warehousing, shipping, or receiving preferred but not required
- Understanding inventory management is desirable
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and similar computer programs
- Valid driver's license
- Able to work with little to no supervision to complete assigned tasks
- Good written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Able to stand, walk and move for extended periods
