Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide onsite services in a vibrant school setting. This contract position offers flexibility with part-time and full-time openings at charter schools in the Detroit area, serving approximately 44 students. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students within the school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to ensure therapeutic goals are met.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches supporting student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy.
- Knowledge of school regulations and the unique needs of students in educational settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
- Availability to work onsite in the Detroit area.
