Summary of Position:
The welder will fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Shop Managers on various repair and fabrication needs
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
- Monitor the welding process to ensure parts are not damaged
- Cut, join and shape plates or sections of metal together
- Produce structurally sound, clean welds
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
Essential Education and Qualifications:
- Welding degree
- Minimum of 3 years welding experience
- Must be precise and have strong attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment and manual tools
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read prints

- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and work in confined spaces
- Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, crawl and kneel under and around equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Pay Scale: $24-$36/hr
