Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a registered nurse with specialized experience in stepdown care, focusing on PCU/MST units during night shifts. The position offers a contract role with shifts every other week, totaling 36 hours. Candidates with a strong background in MST or PCU nursing, along with the required licenses and certifications, will be considered.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as an RN in MST or PCU settings
- Current New Jersey RN License in good standing
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts on an every-other-week schedule
Schedule / Hours:
- 36 hours per week on night shifts every other week
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in stepdown units
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac and neurological status
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and communication
