Deliver expert nursing care in a dynamic stepdown and telemetry environment located in Lees Summit, MO. This contract position requires a skilled RN with experience in progressive care units, providing high-quality patient care in fast-paced hospital settings. The role includes night shifts scheduled as 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15) over a 6-week period, with an expectation of working 8 weekend shifts combined with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown units.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and participate in rapid response teams.
• Manage cardiovascular patient care including post-cardiac surgery and catheterization protocols.
• Administer IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Support respiratory therapies including chest tube management, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care.
• Apply professional nursing standards including isolation precautions, wound care, and emergency response.
• Float flexibly across inpatient units including emergency department holding areas according to facility needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; previous charge nurse and teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Certification requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Skilled in telemetry, cardiovascular, endocrine, neurological, orthopedic, respiratory, and wound care management.
• Ability to float among multiple hospital units.
• First-time stepdown nurses are welcomed.
