Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Job Type: 13-Week Contract | Local & Travel Opportunities Available
Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Variable hours based on patient schedule)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hour (Up to $2,437.50 Weekly for Travelers)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join a hospital-based Radiation Oncology team in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will deliver precise and safe radiation treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists while ensuring exceptional patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
This opportunity is open to both local and travel professionals seeking a 13-week assignment.
Key Responsibilities

Administer radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established protocols.

Accurately position patients and operate advanced radiation therapy equipment to ensure precise dose delivery.

Review and verify treatment plans, imaging, and patient documentation prior to treatment.

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and promptly communicate findings to the clinical team.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR and treatment record systems.

Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to support comprehensive patient care.

Perform daily equipment quality checks and report technical concerns immediately.

Provide patient education, emotional support, and reassurance throughout the course of therapy.
Required Qualifications

Active New York State License – Radiologic Technologist (Radiation Therapy).

ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (T) – Required.

BLS Certification (AHA) – Required.

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in therapeutic radiation therapy.

Experience with Varian TrueBeam technology and MOSAIQ EMR system preferred.

Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and oncology patient care.

Excellent communication, technical proficiency, and patient-focused care skills.
