To excel as a Medication Aide at Carrollton Gardens Assisted Living, you'll need a blend of compassion and technical skills. A current state-approved Medication Aide certification is a must, along with previous experience in healthcare or assisted living settings to bring familiarity with the environment. You’ll showcase strong attention to detail as you administer medications accurately and on time, adhering to physician orders and safety protocols. Excellent communication and teamwork skills will help you collaborate effectively with colleagues and build trust with residents.
You’ll also be adept at using specific software tools for documentation, ensuring that medication administration records are accurate and organized. Your keen observational skills will allow you to promptly identify and report any changes in residents’ conditions, all while maintaining a clean and organized medication cart.
