Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of funds owed to the company. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice & Billing Management
- Prepare and send invoices and account statements to clients.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments and receipts.
- Collections & Customer Communication
- Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and arrange payment plans.
- Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies promptly.
- Account Reconciliation
- Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Investigate and resolve irregularities or payment issues.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Generate aging reports and provide updates on AR status.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve client issues.
- Support month-end close activities and assist with audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with high-volume transactions and multiple customer accounts.
- Familiarity with AR automation tools and customer portals.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour
