Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (6:30am - 7:00pm)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 hours if desired)
- Three weekends within each six-week period
- Every other holiday rotation
- 13-week assignment, with bi-weekly orientation
- Flexible floating: First within your skillset; potential for cross-campus float with advance notice
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current active compact RN license required
- BLS and NIHSS (AHA certified)
- Minimum two years of recent and strong Med/Surg experience, plus one prior travel contract
- Recent EPIC charting experience (check-off class required)
- Demonstrated competency in cardiac cath recovery, post-surgical care, neuro assessment, drip management, drain and catheter care, NG tube insertion, and blood administration
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
- Must be prepared to precept students or new hires
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to a varied med/surg and cardiac patient population
- Float flexibly within and between units as needed
- Participate in educational initiatives as a teaching hospital nurse
- Maintain compliance with unit and hospital standards
