Position Summary:
The role of the Parent Liaison is to strengthen relationships between parents/caregivers and school communities in partnership with the school and Youth Guidance. The Parent Liaison will serve as a connector, advocate, and resource to help parents stay informed and engaged in their students development both educationally and socially.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program staff and school partners to ensure alignment of goals, consistent communication, and support in creating a plan for parent engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with parents and caregivers.
- Recruit and conduct outreach to
parents through flyers, phone calls, and in-person engagement.
- Track and report on family engagement activities and maintain
accurate records, as needed.
- Help organize and support family engagement events
and activities (e.g. workshops, celebrations, field trips, etc.).
- Advocate
on behalf of parents.
- Assists in conflict resolution alongside Youth Guidance Program Leaders and School Administration.
- Attend relevant meetings, including team meetings, school led meetings, community events, parent meetings, and other stakeholder gatherings.
- Complete all required training and compliance requests.
- Adhere to the established program schedule and proactively communicate with supervisor in advance regarding any anticipated absences and changes in availability.
- Maintain a professional work ethic, appropriate appearance, and adherence to the dress code of the school and Youth Guidance, while consistently representing the organization in a positive and respectful manner at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Training
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant job experience.
- At least two years experience working in a school setting
- Must be committed to the continuous improvement of service quality and the organizations mission.
- Must function well in group and team settings.
- Must possess interpersonal skills that excel in cultural sensitivity and respect for differences.
Skills/Abilities
- Experience and comfort working with diverse populations
