Sportech offers all fulltime positions a 401k plan with up to a 4% employer match and paid company holidays. Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech’s reasonable and good-faith estimate for the range of new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is between $21.00 - $25.00 / hour. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions.
Job Summary
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing training needs, identifying training programs to address competency gaps, and coordinating internal and external training for Operations employees and temporary associates. This position will partner with internal stakeholders regarding specific training needs and coordinate with SME’s regarding instructional design. The Training Coordinator will organize and manage the development of training aids and evaluate trainees for individual comprehension and understanding. This position will apply assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of the training and report results.
Essential Job Functions
- Interact daily with assembly and production team members across multiple shifts and buildings.
- Onboard new temporary staff and Sportech staff, assessing and providing necessary training and development to meet departmental needs while utilizing Sportech core values.
- Develop and maintain training programs for key groups within Operations (Assembly, Machine, Vac, Material Flow)
- Work with Operations leadership to create a training cell or area with various products, power tools, components and packaging.
- Develop, coordinate and/or deliver training for various positions within the Operations department.
- Coordinate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training and on-the-job coaching.
- Conduct training assessments and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need development within the Operations department.
- Monitor all key training metrics and competency level performance indicators.
- Maintain LMS for Material Flow team.
- Assist in the assimilation and validation of varying Assembler and Machine Operator positions.
- When necessary, coordinate external training activities.
- Map out training plans, retain and control all signed training forms and training matrix.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years in a production environment and or related training experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate, and articulate information to others.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate time as needed on three shifts.
- Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand assembly and manufacturing process requirements including best practices.
- Thorough knowledge of company core values, purpose statement and ability to articulate them clearly to different audiences.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, assess and analyze data.
- Ability to operate in a team environment with good collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to consistently wear personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
