X-Ray Technician
Location: New York, NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiology procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with radiation protection standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CARESTREAM equipment and strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and explain the examination process.

Position patients and operate radiologic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Adjust exposure factors and immobilization devices as needed.

Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Maintain image quality by following established radiology standards and procedures.

Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately.

Perform equipment quality checks and report malfunctions when necessary.

Maintain radiology supply inventory and assist with equipment maintenance.

Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications.

Support department operations and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.).

ARRT Certification.

Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience (Required).

Experience with CARESTREAM equipment (Required).

Strong patient care and communication skills.

Knowledge of radiation safety and diagnostic imaging procedures.
