Job DescriptionJob Summary (List Format):
- Deliver daily radiation treatments to cancer patients using Elekta machine
- Perform CT simulation and initial set-up of new treatment areas
- Provide emotional and educational support to radiation oncology patients and their families
- Assist physics staff to ensure accurate treatment records and dosimetric procedures
- Work directly with physicians during treatment and simulation procedures
- Perform ionizing radiation treatments and schedule patients for efficient department workflow
- Conduct radiographic and CT procedures to produce diagnostic images as requested by licensed practitioners
- Exercise professional judgment and maintain conduct aligned with medical ethics
- Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful procedures
- Maintain knowledge of cancer, radiation biology, and safety/protection protocols
- Work collaboratively as a motivated and team-oriented professional
Requirements:
- Recent experience with Elekta machine
- Certificate from an accredited radiation therapy program
- RT(T) Registered Radiation Therapist or registry eligible
- ARRT certification and Iowa State License
- Understanding of cancer, radiation biology, safety, and protection
- Highly motivated and team-oriented
Schedule:
- 32 hours per week
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday (4 shifts/week; schedule may fluctuate based on department needs)
