Role Overview
As our Sushi Chef, youll be responsible for creating exciting sushi dishes, managing prep, and ensuring high-quality presentation. Youll lead by example, uphold food safety standards, and delight our guests with every plate.
Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality sushi dishes, including sashimi, nigiri, and rolls
Design seasonal and specialty menus to reflect creativity and freshness
Ensure all food preparation meets restaurant standards for taste, quality, and presentation
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment
Oversee and train kitchen staff on sushi preparation and techniques
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for fresh ingredients
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
Education: Culinary school certification preferred, but not required
Certification: ServeSafe or Food Handlers Certification
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of sushi preparation and knife skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
