Job Duties and Responsibilities:

In performance of his/her responsibilities, the Logistics and Warehouse Manager oversees the proper and timely service to operations.

  • Logistics – Manage carrier relationships, work with Supply Chain team to drive advanced inbound and outbound transportation effectively and efficiently. Reduce costs and improve on time delivery through active carrier management.
  • Employees — Train, develop and retain a strong Warehouse & Inventory team.
  • Cross Functional Leadership – Participate in Operations leadership meetings, providing input and cross functional support where required.
  • Warehouse operation, layout and capacity management — Supervise and review the daily organization and operation requirements of the warehouse, ensuring that the warehouse labor and logistic needs are fully capable and functional to support the material daily needs of the operation. With a focus on efficiency, safety, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Receipt of Incoming Materials — Working with the Supply Chain team, schedule, manage and supervise the accurate and timely receipt of incoming material shipments, and validate appropriate inventory transactions and warehouse put away are completed. With a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Storage of Materials — Ensure that materials in the warehouse are stored and maintained in compliance with GMP guidelines and warehouse best practices. Ensures all warehouse in/out and move transactions are completed within expected timelines.
  • Shipping of Materials — Supervise the completion of required documentation and all shipping Preparation(s) of Materials. With a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Slow Moving & Obsolescence — Support cross functional team which monitors and determines obsolete and non-moving materials including recommending items for disposition. Support the preparation of items as required for sale, return, or scrapping.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning system — Supervise all operations in the ERP to ensure proper entry of each transaction representing receipt, issue, movement, shipment and handling of materials. Actively participate in ERP enhancement discussions, offering leadership in SOP development and best practice.
  • KPI's — Develop, measure, track, monitor and recognize achievement in Warehouse KPl's (Key Performance Indicators).

Job Requirements:

  • Is attentive to and leads safe work practices.
  • Able to proficiently operate all warehouse area equipment in accordance with current SOPs.
  • Able to lead and direct the work of others.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience sufficient to:
  1. Proficiently read, speak, and write English.
  2. Perform basic mathematical calculations—add, subtract multiply, divide, percentages.
  3. Understand and abide by 21 CFR Part 111.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting up to 501bs., standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs, working from heights, following safety rules.

Note: Employees may be crossed trained in any or all areas. At any point in time an employee may be asked by the manager to perform responsibilities outside the areas indicated above.
