Inventory Control Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting and regular physical inventories.
Develop, implement, and optimize inventory control procedures and systems (e.g., ERP/WMS).
Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehousing to ensure optimal material flow and stock levels.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and address slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory to minimize waste and costs.
Lead and mentor inventory control staff, providing training on best practices and system usage.

Recommended Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of inventory management methodologies (e.g., Lean, JIT) and forecasting techniques.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Bonus Qualifications

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience applying Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with ERP system implementations or significant upgrades (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Demonstrated experience in demand forecasting or Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
