Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide leave coverage in a K-12 school setting from late November 2025 through early March 2026. This position involves delivering specialized occupational therapy services to a diverse, school-based student population within multiple buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to approximately 43 students, addressing developmental and functional needs.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff on strategies to support 13 additional students.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and interventions.
  • Adapt interventions to meet the unique environments of various school settings.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license is required.
  • Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 56 students with both direct and consultative roles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to interact effectively with educational staff and families.
  • Flexibility to work on-site (preferred) or virtually as agreed.

  • Contract Duration: November 24, 2025 March 2, 2026
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: 56 students total (43 direct, 13 consult)
