Operations Analyst (Energy Programs)
Location: Hybrid – Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 12-month contract (potential extension)
Pay Rate: $30–$32/hour
Client: Leading Utilities Company (via Swoon)
About the Role
Swoon is partnering with a leading utilities client to hire an Operations Analyst (Energy Programs) to support energy rebate and incentive programs across North America.
This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, client support, and operational execution, supporting large-scale energy efficiency initiatives for enterprise clients. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to manage project data, analyze energy savings, and help drive sustainability efforts.
What You’ll Be Doing
Customer & Project Support
- Partner with Account Managers to support Fortune 500 clients
- Manage project data and track action items within internal systems
- Collect, organize, and maintain documentation (invoices, utility bills, construction drawings, audits, etc.)
- Communicate with clients and vendors via email and phone
- Perform data manipulation and reporting using Excel
Technical & Rebate Analysis
- Review project scopes (lighting, HVAC, refrigeration) for rebate eligibility
- Estimate incentives and prepare rebate applications
- Perform basic energy savings calculations using industry guidelines
- Research rebate programs and requirements across North America
- Collaborate with Project Managers on multi-site rebate strategies
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline rebate processes
- Improve efficiency and accuracy in data handling and submissions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate or advanced)
- Experience with data analysis, operations, or administrative support
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Exposure to energy efficiency, utilities, or sustainability programs
- Experience working with technical documentation (HVAC, lighting, etc.)
- Background in operations, customer success, or project coordination
