Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge for a retail pharmacy in Brooklyn, NY. This role is responsible for overseeing daily retail pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacy technicians, verifying and dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients, managing pharmacy workflow, and helping ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and pharmacy board requirements.

The ideal candidate must have retail pharmacy experience, an active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing, and proficiency with PrimeRx pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the pharmacy’s Supervising Pharmacist / Pharmacist-in-Charge
• Oversee daily retail pharmacy operations and workflow
• Verify, dispense, and counsel patients on prescription medications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• • Techs are highly experienced and have been working at the location for 5+ years
• Ensure accurate prescription processing, documentation, and dispensing
• Use PrimeRx for prescription processing, refill management, patient profiles, insurance adjudication, and dispensing workflow
• Support inventory management, medication ordering, and stock control
• Coordinate with pharmacy suppliers including Kinray/Cardinal Health and Anda
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and pharmacy board regulations
• Provide professional and courteous patient service

Requirements

• Active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior retail pharmacy experience required
• Proficiency with PrimeRx pharmacy software required
• Strong prescription verification, dispensing, and patient counseling skills
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and manage daily workflow
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Supervising Pharmacist, Pharmacist-in-Charge, or Lead Pharmacist
• Familiarity with Kinray/Cardinal Health and Anda ordering systems
• Experience with inventory management and medication ordering

Work Schedule

• Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Occasional Friday/Saturday coverage may be needed
• No vaccination duties required

License/Certification:

• New York State Pharmacist License (Required)
