We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists and hygienists by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and delivering excellent patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dental office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including four-handed dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient appointments
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments in compliance with infection control standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations)
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-procedure instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Manage dental supplies and inventory
- Schedule appointments and assist with front-office duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and dental safety regulations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
- Dental Assistant certification or state registration preferred (as applicable)
- Previous experience as a dental assistant strongly preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology
- CPR certification preferred

- Ability to multitask in a busy dental environment
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records (EHR)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling dental instruments
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
