CNC Mill Programmer | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines using CAM software.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.
Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
Determine optimal machining parameters including speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
Generate, test, and troubleshoot G-code directly on CNC machines.
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC mill programming.
Proficiency with industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360).
Expertise in G-code and M-code programming, including manual editing and optimization.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Comprehensive knowledge of machining principles, tooling, workholding, and material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

Advanced 4th/5th axis programming experience.
Proficiency in CAD design for tooling and fixture creation.
Experience with post-processor customization or development.
Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment.
