Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in an educational setting located in Melrose Park, IL. The position is a full-time, contract role for the current school year (CSY) and offers a supportive environment where you can make a meaningful impact on students' learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure academic and social growth.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to meet students diverse learning needs.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification.
Experience working with students across elementary and secondary grade levels, preferably K-12.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to supporting students' academic and emotional development.
