Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in an educational setting located in Melrose Park, IL. The position is a full-time, contract role for the current school year (CSY) and offers a supportive environment where you can make a meaningful impact on students' learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with disabilities across K-12 grade levels.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure academic and social growth.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to meet students diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students across elementary and secondary grade levels, preferably K-12.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to supporting students' academic and emotional development.
