Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRT (New Mexico licensure) required.
• American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT required.
• BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.
• For Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices:
  • PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required.
  • American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (R) (ARRT) required.
  • Successful completion of ARRT(MR) Boards within two years of hire.

Your Responsibilities

As an MRI Technician, you will:

• Instruct patients on MRI procedures and ensure their comfort during imaging.
• Select appropriate imaging techniques and calibrate equipment as needed.
• Obtain images and manage film records and backups.
• Inspect images for quality and completeness.
• Perform quality assurance on MRI equipment.
• Maintain clinical supplies and conduct physical inventories.
• Provide training and guidance to staff and students.
• Adhere to safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.
• Assist in research and scheduling as needed.
• Engage in professional development through seminars and workshops.
