Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRT (New Mexico licensure) required.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT required.
- BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.
- For Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices:
- PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (R) (ARRT) required.
- Successful completion of ARRT(MR) Boards within two years of hire.
Your Responsibilities
As an MRI Technician, you will:
- Instruct patients on MRI procedures and ensure their comfort during imaging.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and calibrate equipment as needed.
- Obtain images and manage film records and backups.
- Inspect images for quality and completeness.
- Perform quality assurance on MRI equipment.
- Maintain clinical supplies and conduct physical inventories.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and students.
- Adhere to safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.
- Assist in research and scheduling as needed.
- Engage in professional development through seminars and workshops.
