Job Description
Job DescriptionWho We Are:
Mem Global is where Jewish young adults in their 20s and early 30s come to connect, explore, and create meaningful Jewish experiences with their peers. As the umbrella brand for our global suite of programs, Mem Global supports young adults as they bring Judaism to life through thousands of peer-driven gatherings across 25+ countries each year. We're all about creating spaces where Jewish young adults can lead, embrace, learn, and build the kind of community that will build a strong and vibrant Jewish future for all of us.
Together, Repair The World and Mem Global are hiring a Global Jewish Service-Learning Educator who will help bring our shared vision to life, ensuring that Jewish service learning and Jewish education are woven meaningfully and consistently throughout the Mem Global ecosystem. This role requires someone who can inspire, teach, and build relationships, while also driving toward clear metrics and outcomes. We're looking for someone who can hold both sides of this work: the vision and creativity and the discipline, structure, and accountability required to meet our shared goals and drive measurable impact.
All voices are needed at Mem Global (please see our identity statements for more details). Every new member of the Mem Global team is an opportunity for us to introduce fresh perspectives, talent, and skills into both our professional team and our communities. We look for employees from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and life experiences to join our global team.
What You'll Do:
- Bring Jewish Learning and Service to Life
- Create and lead vibrant Jewish service-learning experiences for Mem Global residents, staff, and participants, grounded in Jewish texts, traditions, and contemporary issues.
- Facilitate inspiring trainings, workshops, and learning sessions at major gatherings, including NattyCon and Camp Nai.
- Support residents and houses in designing ethical, meaningful Jewish service-learning programs, offering guidance on pedagogy, content, and community partnership development.
- Collaborate with our global educators to weave Jewish service learning into their learning experiences and retreats, strengthening consistency and depth across the Mem Global ecosystem.
- Lead service-learning retreats and facilitate core service-learning components at major gatherings
- Design, cultivate, staff, and lead recruitment for service-learning trips and weekend long retreats of 30+ participants.
- Attend key in-person programs such as NattyCon and Camp Nai, and other key programs where your presence and facilitation will deepen learning and impact.
- Occasional travel for retreats, staff gatherings and training, and service experiences.
- Drive Partnership Impact and Accountability
- Serve as the bridge between Mem Global and Repair the World, ensuring strong communication and seamless partnership.
- Ensure all co-branding, storytelling, and data-sharing commitments are fulfilled, and meet all MOU metrics and goals by tracking progress, gathering and analyzing insights, and completing quarterly reports.
- Build Internal Networks and Champions
- Work across teams to build strong internal partnerships and champions who can help embed Jewish service learning throughout our organization.
- Shape and advance a Tikkun Olam agenda that is rooted in our organizational vision and goals and that engages staff and community builders in accessible, joyful, and actionable ways.
- Embody the Mem Mindset
- You embrace and demonstrate the Mem Mindset: Be the Difference, Connect & Listen, Invest Wisely, Embrace the Unknown, Own It!, Value People, and Work Well, Live Well, and Have Fun!
Who You Are:
- You bring a passion for community building, Jewish service-learning, and experiential education.
- You are a relationship builder who can connect meaningfully with young adults, staff, residents, and strategic partners.
- You enjoy working in a mid-sized Jewish organization where clear communication, collaborative decision-making, and shared processes help everyone succeed. You take pride in being a thoughtful partner who strengthens the system rather than disrupting it.
- You have the maturity, communication skills, and follow-through to ensure strong data collection, clear reporting, and alignment with organizational goals.
- You are excited about designing powerful Jewish learning experiences that inspire action.
- You can hold complexity and nuance. You are comfortable navigating diverse audiences, worldviews, and Jewish identities.
- You can move comfortably between the big-picture vision and the operational details that make impact possible.
- You are open, curious, adaptable, and driven, with the ability to work hard, learn, adjust, and grow in real time.
- You have an advanced degree or graduate certificate in Jewish education (18+ months full time postgraduate learning). A minimum of 5 years of post-undergraduate full-time work experience, including 2+ years of full-time work experience creating and teaching Jewish text study connected to service and social justice issues.
- Proven experience facilitating trainings, reflections, and educational programs.
- Experience working with young adults from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with service learning or experiential education, including planning and/or leading programs.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship and travel as needed.
