Schedule: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM with liver call; on-call requirement of 1 shift per week and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month; guaranteed 36 hours per week for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts

Highlights:

• Advanced transplant program focusing on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplantation
• Operate in a 230-bed Short Term Acute Care teaching facility with 18 OR rooms and daily census of 55-60 patients
• Work with EPIC charting system and state-of-the-art surgical equipment including MISONIX/CUSA
• Participate in a collaborative teaching environment supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals
• Comprehensive orientation program with 40 hours of onboarding support

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of direct operating room experience with extensive transplant background required
• MUST have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience clearly documented on skills checklist
• Direct experience with transplant implantation procedures (placing organs in recipient patients), not just organ procurement/harvesting
• Proficiency in MISONIX/CUSA equipment operation required
• Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications (must have at time of application)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start date)
• Active Florida RN license or willingness to obtain (pending licenses accepted)
• Nicotine-free status required; negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) test within 12 months of start date
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float within scope and participate in teaching/training activities
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial application
