Job DescriptionCNC MACHINIST FOR A WEAPONS MANUFACTURER
2nd shift - 3pm to 11:15pm +1.50 shift premium
3rd shift - 11pm to 7:15am +3.00 shift premium

CNC Machinist Tasks & Duties
-
Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
-
Must know how to use basic precision measuring tools
-
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning
-
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc
-
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
-
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

Day Shift, 11:00 pm to 7:15 am

Monday - Saturday
CNC Machinist Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
-
CNC MACHINIST EXPERIENCE A MUST - 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE
-
GED / High School Diploma
-
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
-
Able to pass a background check - NO FELONIES/NO VIOLENT OFFENSES/NO INTERFERENCES WITH OFFICIAL ACTS
-
Able to work in the US
-
Proven experience/education as CNC operator
-
Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
-
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
-
Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
-
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
-
Good communication skills
-
Able to pass a background check
-
Able to work in the US.
