Pay (Hourly or Annual Salary)$25/hr. + depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to blueprints and job specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, dies, and gauges to achieve precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Inspect finished parts using measurement tools to verify compliance with specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger concerns to maintenance or engineering.
- Maintain accurate production records, including materials used and time spent.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to support efficient workflows.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong experience operating and setting up press brake equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Solid math skills for measurements, angles, and material calculations.
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials and forming techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Education and/or Experience
- Prior experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing or fabrication environment required.
- Demonstrated job stability and reliability strongly preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or fabrication is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment.
