$40–$45 per hour

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Paint Engineer to support large-scale capital projects, equipment modifications, and new model launch readiness within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure successful integration of new systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead internal paint-related projects and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes and resolve equipment challenges.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, scopes of work, documentation, and equipment specifications.
  • Partner with various departments and pilot engineers to validate process requirements and oversee tooling development.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Oversee system commissioning, installation, and integration activities.
  • Gather and define technical requirements in early planning stages.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and contractors to ensure safety compliance and high-quality project execution.
  • Support paint operations by identifying and communicating concern points.


Qualifications — What You Bring

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR 5+ years of relevant engineering/project management experience in manufacturing.


Desired Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and equipment.
  • Experience with system commissioning and integration.
  • Ability to develop PoCs and SOWs.
  • Familiarity with North American regulations.
  • Computer skills such as Catia, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D software.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Nice to Have:

  • Engineering or project management certifications.
