Industrial Electrician | Kentwood, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical components to minimize downtime.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, control panels, and motor control centers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, HMI, VFDs, and other control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sche schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes, NEC standards, and company policies.
• Conduct routine inspections and tests of electrical systems and components.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems.
• Proficiency with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and sensor systems.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting.
• Background in robotic systems maintenance and repair.
• Expertise in industrial instrumentation and control systems (e.g., sensors, transmitters).
• Certification or advanced training in NFPA 70E Arc Flash safety.
• Proficiency in commissioning and optimizing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
